I’ve been a lover of hardcore my entire life, and the bands that really stick with me are the ones that aren’t afraid to fuck with the formula. Initiate absolutely does that. This record is heavy when it needs to be, beautiful when it wants to be, and somehow manages to sound pissed, vulnerable and maybe even hopeful at the same time.

With Love // With Rage is 5 songs about exactly what the title says: those two completely opposite emotions that somehow live right next to each other and you can feel that throughout the entire thing.

Hardcore without the rulebook. Huge riffs, screaming, melody, beautiful moments and actual emotion beyond just being pissed.

It’s easily one of my favorite releases I’ve heard this year.
